To the Season Ticket holders of the San Jose Earthquakes,
On behalf of our organization, we wanted to reach out to you all in advance of The Town FC’s opening match at Pay Pal Park, which will be held against Austin FC II this upcoming Saturday, April 20th, with a kickoff scheduled for 7pm.
The partnership between our club and you all with the Quakes was built upon a shared vision for growing the game, and to expand access to professional level soccer for communities throughout the Bay Area. A huge part of the success of this partnership, and a driving purpose for our project, is strengthening the pathway for Quakes Academy and MLSNP athletes into the Quakes 1st team. Our ultimate goal is to prepare these up and coming players with an environment capable of readying them for the next level, and the ability to play at home in front of a large group of passionate fans is a key component to that preparation.
As of today, we have sold 5,500 tickets to our 4/20 game at Pay Pal Park and in anticipation of a large crowd, we wanted to take this opportunity to invite you all out to the stadium on the 20th to cheer on the players and to remind the entire league that the Bay Area truly is the epicenter for soccer in this country. While the MLSNP team is now called The Town FC, this remains your team and your support means the world to the players and staff who one day hope to progress to the Quakes 1st team. We encourage you to wear your Quakes gear and to sing songs that celebrate the amazing legacy of the Quakes, all while enjoying a fun evening of futbol together.
For The Town FC games at Saint Mary’s College, which will kick off on Friday, May 3rd at 5pm (gates open at 3), and again welcome your attendance while proudly wearing your favorite Quakes gear and while flying your club colors proudly. We’re excited about the SMC gameday setting and think it will be a wonderful throwback to the atmosphere enjoyed by us all at Buck Shaw Stadium, while helping to reignite a deep base of support for soccer which exists throughout the entire East Bay region.
Quakes season ticket holders have access to The Town FC games, so just reach out to your reps. We look forward to seeing you and sharing in your passion for growing the game with us beginning on the 20th!
Yours in soccer and community,
The Town FC founding group
