SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes’ MLS NEXT Pro team, The Town FC, has signed goalkeeper David Sweeney for the remainder of the 2024 season.
“David is a player that has been on our radar for a while now with him being at San Jose State,” said Earthquakes technical director John Wolyniec. “We are very happy to have his abilities in goal and his character in the locker room as he starts his professional career with us.”

After college, Sweeney played with Monterey Bay FC 2 in USL League Two for head coach and Earthquakes legend Ramiro Corrales, who led them to the NorCal Division title in 2023.
