The Town FC’s match in Vancouver was its final bout outside of California for the regular season.
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — The Town FC ventured north to face Vancouver Whitecaps 2 on Saturday, a team TTFC defeated earlier in the season. The match was held at BC Place, the home of Vancouver’s first-team side. The Town FC fell 3-1 in a battle that was level for the bulk of it.
Last match against Portland, Nonso Adimabua cemented himself in The Town FC history by becoming the club’s all-time leader in single-season goal contributions (goals and assists), with 16. Adimabua scored his 11th goal of 2025 in the 30th minute against WFC2, inching him closer to another TTFC record: single-season goal-scoring.
With the tally, Adimabua is one goal shy of tying the franchise’s single-season scoring record of 12 goals, currently held by Eduardo Blancas (2023) and Rudi Castro (2022).
THE TOWN FC / EARTHQUAKES II SINGLE-SEASON GOAL RECORD LEADERBOARD:
12 – Eduardo Blancas (2023), Rudi Castro (2022)
11 – Nonso Adimabua (2025)
9 – Max Arfsten (2022)
8 – Eduardo Blancas (2024)
Adimabua’s goal saw him head in a cerebral feed from Missael Rodríguez near the back post, leveling the match at one goal apiece after Vancouver scored 11 minutes before.
Whitecaps 2 forward Cyprian Kachwele was too much for TTFC, as the 20-year-old notched a brace — including the eventual game-winner in the 71st minute — helping Vancouver snag three points. Antoine Coupland sealed the deal for WFC2 in the 87th minute, probing The Town FC’s defense to make it 3-1.
STANDINGS WATCH:
The Town FC is one of three Western Conference teams (St. Louis, Colorado) to have already clinched a playoff berth. The remaining battle is for seeding, in which TTFC currently holds the second-place spot in the conference, one point ahead of Rapids 2 and nine back of CITY2. TTFC has played one less match than the other two teams and will aim to surge at the right time heading into the postseason.
UP NEXT:
TTFC has four regular-season matches remaining on its schedule, and all will be played in California. Next, The Town FC will head to Ventura County to face VCFC, a team TTFC hasn’t lost to all year. The match will kick off at 7 p.m. on Sep. 21.
